Marco is a highly accomplished senior executive with over 30 years of leadership experience across the petrochemicals, energy, and corporate sustainability sectors. Known for his analytical rigour and strategic insight, he combines a deep understanding of macroeconomic and market dynamics with expert knowledge of the regulatory landscape and the evolving energy transition.

Prior to joining MarineFifty, Marco led the development of SABIC’s low-carbon business portfolio, overseeing the execution of the company’s strategic roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050—one of the most ambitious decarbonisation commitments in the global petrochemicals industry.

Holding a PhD in Materials Science, Marco brings a powerful blend of technical expertise and strategic vision to advising major multinationals on their net-zero transitions. He focuses on harnessing advanced technologies while creating value through governance, stewardship, and sustainability.
